All About Me & My Surroundings!

Updates =)

It’s been long time I have written anything properly :) and you guys also must be wondering where have I gone.. that also after getting married :p

So here is a complete update :)

Just after getting married on 20th April, I flew for Lahore on 22nd April for 7th National Thalassemia Conference & Workshops, came back on 24th April, started my preparation for Thalassemia International Conference, which was taking place on 11th May to 14th May in Antalya, Turkey.

Flying for Turkey..!

Flying for Turkey..!

So, I started my travel along with a doctor and a thalassemia friend of mine on 9th May… travelling alone ever in my life that also internationally, leaving mom for 6 days, travelling without husband.. everything was depressing :) it was hard to control myself.. the moment I reached Turkey I wanted to come back Pakistan and hug mom tightly :( tried to stay strong.. managed 6 days.. kept myself busy in conferences and beauty of Antalya :)

On the last day of our stay we went to Istanbul, did sight-seeing, did city tour, shopping and headed to airport for our flight to Pakistan.. I just couldn’t wait to see mom, family and of course husband :p

On 16th May I came back to Pakistan, had awesome time in Turkey, learnt ‘few’ new things at conferences, rest were old :/

Conferences and Turkey pictures can be seen herehere, here and here

After coming back so many things kept me busy, apart from personal stuffs.. I decided to stop blood camping for few months.., as it is really hard to arrange venue for blood camp, then calling people to donate blood is really impossible.., making them understand the NEED of blood for thalassemia patient is hectic! I decided to keep acknowledging people through website, blogs, interviews, twitter, facebook :) and I decided to raise more funds for needy patients.

Alhamdulillah with the help of donors we are now sponsoring 3 children from Fatimid Foundation, Karachi. And by the end of December we will be sponsoring 2 more :)

SK Collection

SK Collection

That was something about Thalassemia.. now coming back to myself.. I have started a new venture :) SK Collection!

SK Collection is currently about imitation jewellery, soon it will be carrying more products inshaAllah.. I started SK Collection on 10th November, wondering what does SK stands for :) ? S for Salman (brother’s name) K for Khurshid (mother’s name) :)

Salman used to use SK Dev for his online identity.. so just trying my luck with his prayers.. for this venture I would definitely give credit to my mom, family, husband and Royal Bangles Collection – Royal Bangles is something which gave me inspiration :)

So this was my complete update :) keep praying for us, supporting us, motivating us PLEASE! :)

Best Regards,
Ayesha

Yaad-e-maazi..

24th June – Salman’s birthday..

25th June (22nd Rajab) – dad’s death anniversary..

14th July – Nauman bhai’s death anniversary..

One after another.. I guess sometimes Allah wants to test us from every direction..

How badly I missed all of them on my nikkah can’t be described.., there were family members, friends, colleagues, everyone.. and I kept looking for dad and brothers in the crowd..

The things friends/family members did for my wedding should have been done by dad and brothers.. instead of uncle, dad should have been my wakeel for nikkah..

No complains.. no complains at all.. I just wish that dad and brothers keep praying for me and family.. and I know they all must be in heaven, enjoying the luxuries :)

Miss you three a lot =(

New life…!

There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage. ~ Martin Luther ~

I weds A

I weds A

A completely new life started for me on Wednesday 20th April when I signed Nikkahnama and started to realize that life isn’t the same at all.. the very next moment I started feeling more responsible.. more careful.. more respectful.. and what not :) ?

Your heart starts beating for someone who is going to be yours forever and ever.., going to be there when you need and even when you don’t ;) , someone who is going to be your best friend, supporter, motivator, companion.. inshort soul mate :)

Mom has always been worried for me, yeah I know every mom gets worried if its a boy or a girl.. but in my case mom was extra worried.. since I have this cute disorder with me [Thalassemia] ;) . She had this fear that I may stay single through out the life. After Salman she was more cautious for me.. got more worried that what will happen to me if God forbid she dies.. *moun mein khaak*

To be very frank watching friends/cousins getting engaged/married even when they are younger than me, made me worried too.. but then I couldn’t show it to mom :) so these were the words I use to say to calm her and my innerself.. “maa, aap ki soch aik maa ki hai.. WOH 70 maa’on ke barabar mere liye soch raha hai.. bus thora sa intezar karna hai.. [Mom, you think like one mother.. but HE is thinking for me like 70 mothers.. we just have to wait]

Sometimes it does help.. but since we don’t have patience.. mom was used to get tensed.. and all of a sudden within a month I got married :| . Mom got this proposal.. did all the investigation.. and got me engaged on 3rd April.. and without wasting time mom got me married in 17 days :|

Aaah!, don’t ask about the panic, stress, tension etc etc.., mom just wanted me to get married as soon as possible *it felt like she is tired of me :p*, just after 3rd April all the preparations started taking place..

Contacting cook, decorations, bridal, beauty-parlor and what not!, it was really hard for us to get things done without brothers and father.. I remember at the time of my elder sister’s wedding my dad took care of everything.. and in my case I had to look after from A to Z :)

Since I promised my mom after Salman that am her beta [son], so had to prove myself ;) , it was really hectic for me to act like a bride, to get things done, to take care of mom, in short to take care of everything..

I can’t forget how our neighbors and friends helped us.. from arrangements to my rukhsati they tried their best to make me forget that my brothers and father are not there.. they proved themselves like real brothers :)

I don’t think there have been any bride who would be roaming in the bazaar for things/bridal/etc, talking to cook over phone, talking to decorators etc for her own wedding ;p I even tease my mom for that ;)

It says All’s Well That Ends Well, so in short I no longer can say that am single :p *haye maa.. kyun cheen li azadi* =)

Request for prayers :)
